Lil Wayne has been dropped as the face of Mountain Dew after comparing a violent sex he had with a girl to Emmett Till beatings. Waynne had offered apology to the Emmeth Till Family ( Read Here)
Emmett Till Family had rejected the apology saying Lil Wayne never said sorry once in his statement. Now Mountain Dew, who is owned by PepsiCo has done the right thing by dropping him from their commercials.
Till was turtured and murdered and dumped in a river after being accused of whistling at a white woman. He was given an open casket funeral. A decision taken by his mother to highlight the brutality of whites in America, which became a focal point in the Civil Rights Movements.
