SAD DAY!!! SIR ALEX FERGUSON CONFIRMS RETIREMENT... PICTURE EXCLUSIVE

Speculation: Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson could step down after 26 years in charge of the club and 13 Premier League title wins

It has been confirmed that the greatest manager ever in the history of football is to retire at the end of the season 27 years after the joined the club.

Sir Alex Ferguson has seen Man United take on the likes of Arsenal during the French revolution, Chelsea during the Russian uprising, and Man City During the Arab spring and stood still during these trying times.

He will always be remembered.
